Course - VALUE ENGINEERING MODULE 1- Course Date: October 7-10, 2008

LCC Course - April 22, 2008

The objective of this course will be to introduce ASTM and ISO Building Economics Standards and give participants the tools and skills necessary to apply the LCC methodology to the evaluation and analysis of investments in buildings, specifically in the field of energy efficiency and Green Buildings. This seminar is based on ASTM International Building Economics Standards and is strongly recommended for any individual QS involved with Life Cycle costing or business case studies. It will serve to update your own skills or to understand the basics, enabling you to communicate more effectively and compare net present value study recommendations for your client. The instructor, Robert P. Charette, P.E. CVS is the past co-chairman of the ASTM Task Group that developed UNIFORMAT II. He is accredited as a Certified Value Specialist by SAVE, the Society of American Value Engineers.
